DVD Interview : Fan Meeting in Japan Part 1

Q : Who helped name you ?
A : My parents. Being liked by everyone, receiving (Eun Hye) grace and giving grace at the same time. It's a good name isn't it ?

Q : Your character ?
A : Two different kinds of contrasting feeling ? Sometimes very frank/outgoing, and sometimes introverted. I would behave like a mischievous spoilt child/act like a woman in front of people that I'm close to. Perhaps it is because there are many different types of jobs, so there are many facets to the personality like a schizophrenic. (laughs)

Q : At which moment do you feel blissful while acing ?
A : Through the work, being recognized through the work, when everybody is feeling like one, it is blissful. Because I'm still not matured, and sometimes do not get everybody's understanding, even though everybody has a different point-of-view when looking at things. I still get an enormous amount of motivation and suggestion. Liking my work and at the same time liking me. Understanding the character that I have acted as scene after scene, I feel very blissful.

Q : What character do you wish to play after this ?
A : I have appeared in very few projects, therefore, there are still many characters I want to act in. The ones with very large potential, the ones specifically tailored to suit me, the ones I want to act in, could feel curious about. If they possess these qualities, no matter what character it is I would want to try.

Q : Do you often come to Japan ? Do you wish to stay here often ?
A : Actually I used to wish to study here, because I like Japan very much. The packaging of the sweets and chocolates in the supermarket are very cute, every item in the shop is beautifully made, maybe it was a turning point since I was young. If there's a place to stay, I often think of coming. It's okay even if I have to pay rent.

Q : Do you like Japan's onsens ?
A : Extremely. Since I came here for work everytime, I haven't gone there yet. If there's a chance, I want to go in the onsen together with my parents and my colleagues.

Q : You have to travel often because of work, have you gotten used to it ?
A : No problem at all. I wasn't used to it before, but thanks to the many countries, whether in Korea, Japan or America, now I can eat well in any country, and adjust to the time difference.

Q : From all the countries you have been to, which is the one that you like best ?
A : Actually, any chance to go abroad is always good to me, because I can learn many things. only after I started working overseas, that I realized there are many places in Korea I have not visited. Even through photos, one feels that Korea's many small islands are all very beautiful, and many natural surroundings are well preserved. I want to stay a day or two in those places, and possibly feel a different Korea ? If everybody has a chance to come Korea to enjoy, please come and have fun!

DVD Interview : Fan Meeting in Japan Part 2

Q : What's your impression towards Japanese fans ?
A : Truthfully speaking, initially I would think everybody is the same ? Korean fans are all very quiet, every time I say something interesting (everyone is also rather quiet), which led me to worry whether the things I say are uninteresting. I later got to know, it is because the fans are concerned about me, and want to listen clearly to what I say. In the past, there used to be cheers wherever I go, and I worried in the beginning if everybody liked me or not, then I heard that it is because they like me that they are silent, so I no longer worry about that. Japanese fans are also very quiet, perhaps because I had not seen everybody for a long time. I thought maybe there would be a "WAAAAA------"effect. But there was only a short "wa". In the beginning I thought "Why is this ?". It seemed like there are a lot of female fans, and they thought that this was not polite to do it to a follow female like me. I am very grateful to the considerate Japanese fans, for thinking about the little things for me. If everybody wants to cheer the next time, I have no problems, and would welcome it.

Q : The thing that left the deepest impression at the fanmeet ?
A : I sang a Japanese song for everyone, and thought I didn't do too badly, but when it was replayed, I discovered that the first part was sung messily and out of tune, with the wrong lyrics as well. Maybe I had calmed down by the second part, so it was not too bad. But the first part was really horrible, and made me a little upset. But, because I saw everybody's joyful faces, it made me very happy. Must practice more next time, I think I will sing better.

Q : The "salad song" you sang in the CF was well received, do you sing often ?
A : I like to sing, but my voice is a little hoarse, and it was hard to sing a cute tune like the salad song well, therefore it was difficult while filming the CD. It's great that it is well received. I like singing very much.

Q : What is your ideal type ?
A : Ideal type ? My ideal type is someone who is serious and has "sense"... Sense towards fashion, sense towards language, isn't there a saying, "a person's inner heart's suaveness"? Compared to "What kind of person is this person ?". I prefer a person who on first look is very polite, handsome and tall, possesses a good fashion sense, but is serious and humorous, someone who makes me laugh.

Q : Do you wish to get married ?
A : I always had dreams of getting married since I was younger. To me, wanting to get married soon, having children, thinking of a blissful life, building an ordinary family, seems like a very normal wish. Perhaps it is because I started to work since I was very young, this wish could gradually be pushed back, but if there is a beautiful encounter, and a possibility to become blissful, no matter when, I would want to try it out earlier. Because I have been out and about since young, there wasn't any chance to start dating, and it was impossible to date. If I get married, I could have these. Maybe that's why I idealized marriage even more.

Q : What are your thoughts about shaking hands with the Japanese fans ?
A : Frankly speaking, I think this is the first time I've shaking hands with 1500 over people. I had experiences where I performed in front of more people, but shaking hands and speaking to everybody, was my first time. Therefore, there was some difficulties in the beginning. I'm very sorry for letting everybody see my discomfort. I really wanted to let everybody see my always-smiling countenance, but I was not able to do it, and I felt really angry with myself. But everybody asked me "Are you alright ?", "Is your leg in pain ?", and my fatigue disappeared. I'm really grateful to everybody, and feel very blissful/blessed.

Q : What is the gift that left the deepest impression ?
A : The overseas fans always send me beautiful gifts, like the things that I need, or diligently writing letters to me, etc. Recently I feel very touched, as learning Korean should be very difficult for Japanese fans, but they used Hangul to write down every word, checking the dictionary, should be very difficult, and it is not only a phrases or two, but many sentences. I think this is not an easy task, and always make me feel very grateful. Also, some people write in Japanese, and then in Hangul, and even wrote "If there are mistakes in the Hangul, I apologize", which brought me joy/laughter. Really, thank you very much.

Q : When will be the next time we meet ?

A : My feeling right now, is that I immediately want to meet everybody. When my friend was studying overseas (in Japan), I often visit, therefore if there is time, I still want to go Japan. If there is an invitation, I would sprint there no matter when it is. (Makes running action)

Q : Words for the fans ?

A : Trough this DVD, I wanted to show everybody the natural me, when I am normal/plain (?), therefore even though I made some little jokes, and did not seem too serious. I still tried to do it like this. Please continue to watch over me, even though I'm still not matured, and might disappoint everybod, but I wish I could be the Yoon Eun Hye who always brings a smile to everybody who supports me.
